| Registered in 1990 as a charitable
trust, Mitra Jyothi provides integrated development services
to the disabled, especially the visually disabled. Mitra Jyothi
has designed a variety of training and support programs to assist
persons with disabilities, enabling them to be independent and
achieve their goals with dignity.
At Mitra Jyothi the Wadhwani Foundation is funding the launch
of a professional job placement program, to enhance the economic
independence of the disabled by asserting the right to gainful
employment, and by establishing a system to enable equal opportunities.
