| The Birla Institute
of Technology and Science (BITS) was founded by G D Birla,
a renowned entrepreneur, who made significant contributions
to the building of modern India. It is an internationally
renowned all India Institute for higher learning providing
highest quality engineering sciences and humanities education
to students.
BITS has a unique tradition of innovation and R&D activities
and its various centers of excellence are testament to it.
It is estimated that around 10% of its alumni become entrepreneurs.
In order to give strength to this natural tendency amongst
BITSians, BITS has recently established a Centre for Entrepreneurial
Leadership.
Now BITS is founding the National Entrepreneurship Network
with the Wadhwani Foundation and 4 other institutes to propagate
the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst BITSians and positively
impact India’s economy.

platform to share experiences and cooperate in propagating
and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship. This effort
