The Wadhwani Foundation works with many different organizations, each sharing our commitment to accelerate economic development. Our partners are the cornerstone of our strategy in taking our initiatives to scale and creating a high impact.
Instrumental in making the Foundation’s first major initiative - the National Entrepreneurship Network - a success are its co-founders:
- The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay;
- Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad;
- Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani;
- S P Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai and
- Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, Bangalore.
The NEN is honoured to have launched a public-private partnership with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. NEN is also proud of its partnerships: TATA NEN Hottest Startup Award (hotteststartups.in); the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women CBFW-NEN Fellowship Program and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 women program.
The Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED) has been established at The Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. Professor Amar Bhide of Columbia University along with the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore jointly led the Wadhwani Foundation funded National Entrepreneurship Study.
The new initiative WF-OND has forged partnerships with NASSCOM, IL&FS, TeamLease, America-India Foundation, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation among others. The Wadhwani Skills Colleges initiative is working closely in partnership with the Haryana Government and Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India.
The Wadhwani Centre for Research in Biosciences and Biotechnology (WCRBB) established in partnership with IIT Bombay and with the Center for Strategic and International Studies - a leading policy “think tank” based in Washington DC and ICRIER in New Delhi are recent initiatives.
