Entrepreneurship Programs
Emerging economies like India greatly need the drive, spirit, and wealth-creating power of entrepreneurs.

We live in a time of opportunity. Today, in India:
  • The economy continues to open, resulting in more business opportunities;
  • Technological innovations are also creating opportunities;
  • Policy makers increasingly value the economic growth created by entrepreneurs and are seeking to enhance the policy environment;
  • The diaspora of successful entrepreneurs is investing both time and money, with many of them extending their businesses to India;
    and, perhaps most important:
  • Successful indigenous entrepreneurs serve as powerful role models, and create a positive environment for the next generation of entrepreneurs.

To help launch new successful entrepreneurs, we are funding and developing programs within entrepreneurship in two areas:

a) Education and development – to inspire, educate and nurture entrepreneurs, we develop and fund not-for-profit Entrepreneurship Programs that create entrepreneurial education and build networks:

 The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN)
 Faculty Development Program (FDP)

b) Entrepreneurial climate - Many of the barriers to successful entrepreneurship are rooted in the environment, and in government policy. Our programs help develop a policy environment that supports new entrepreneurs:

 The National Entrepreneurship Study (NES)
 The Global Entrepreneurship Forum (GEF)
