Mr. K V Kamath began his professional career in 1971 in ICICI, the largest private bank in India. He took over as the Managing Director and CEO in May 1996. Mr Kamath has also spent time at the Asian Development Bank and the Bakrie Group of Indonesia. He is on the governing board of various educational institutes including IIM Ahmedabad, his alma mater, National Institute of Bank Management, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Entrepreneurial Development of India and member of the Managing Committee of Assocham and the Economic Times Editorial Advisory Board.
